Bacterial photosynthesis

In becaterial photosynthesis, oxygen does not evolve and water is not used as hydrogen donor. Instead of H2O, bacteria uses H2S . photosynthesis bacteria are greensulphur bacteria E.g. chlorobium purple sulphur becteria, chromatium and non sulphur bacteria E.g.  Rhodospirillum. Photosynthetic pigmenets in becteria are bacteriochorophyll.
